SPACE ANIMATØR is a collaborative studio working in the realm of people, interiors, installations and public art curation in Toronto. The studio's diverse practice is constantly challenging notions of temporality, spectacle, interventions and participation. SPACE ANIMATØR is the brainchild of Gelareh Saadatpajouh, an interior designer, curator, and artists, with a background in architecture and design. She has worked with private and commercial clients, collaborated with prominent museums and galleries, governmental institutions, universities, artists, curators, architects and developers.
She was the R&D Director at Toronto Design Offsite Festival from 2011-2014 where she had helped build its renowned reputation as the largest cultural celebration in Canada with +99,000 visitors annually and supports emerging designers and artists in her role as a studio critic at Ryerson School of interior Design.
In Fall 2015, SPACE ANIMATØR joined with Toronto-based landscape architect, Victoria Taylor to launch ====\\DeRAIL, a new curated platform for site-specific contemporary art, architecture and performance along the West Toronto Railpath.
